Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for nearly five hours at his Hyderabad residence on Sunday. The SIT is investigating an alleged phone‑tapping and illegal surveillance case from the previous BRS government.

The questioning began around 3 pm at KCR’s Nandi Nagar house in Banjara Hills. Police deployed heavy security and barricades around the area before and during the probe. KCR had arrived from his farmhouse earlier in the day to cooperate with the investigation.

During the interrogation, officials asked questions about alleged surveillance, appointments of key officers, and whether phones of several people were tapped without legal authority. The SIT also recorded audio and video of the session.

After the long questioning, KCR greeted supporters gathered outside his home. His party has called the case political, while police say the investigation follows legal procedures
