A delegation from Singapore visited the Machilipatnam port construction site in Andhra Pradesh . The visit was aimed at reviewing the progress of the port and exploring future cooperation opportunities. Officials from Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), which is building the port, explained the project details to the delegation.
An MEIL official informed the visitors that the first phase of the port construction will be completed by December 31. This phase includes the construction of four berths. Once completed, the port is expected to improve sea trade and create more job opportunities in the region.
The delegation was briefed on the port’s design, capacity, and facilities. They were also informed about plans for future expansion in later phases. The visitors showed interest in the project and appreciated the progress made so far.
The Machilipatnam port is considered an important infrastructure project for Andhra Pradesh. It is expected to boost economic growth, improve exports, and strengthen international trade links.
