A senior planning official has said that Andhra Pradesh’s economy is growing faster than the national average. According to the State Planning Department, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh is estimated at ₹17.62 lakh crore for the current year.

State Planning Department Principal Secretary Piyush Kumar said the State recorded a growth rate of 10.75%, which is higher than India’s overall economic growth. This shows that the State’s economy is improving steadily.

The growth is mainly due to better performance in agriculture, industry, and services sectors. Government investments in infrastructure, irrigation projects, and welfare schemes have also helped boost economic activity.

The official said the government is focusing on balanced development across regions and sectors. Special attention is being given to farmers, industries, and job creation.

He added that strong economic growth will help the State improve incomes, create employment, and support long-term development in Andhra Pradesh.
