The latest India Today–C-Voter “Mood of the Nation” survey highlights the popularity of chief ministers across India. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath leads the rankings with 36% public approval, making him the country’s most popular CM. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee follows at 13%, while Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu secures 7% to take third place. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy stands eighth with 2.1% support.
The survey also assessed performance within states. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren emerged as the top three in terms of localized approval, reflecting strong governance recognition in their states. Analysts suggest that these findings reveal a blend of national political influence and state-level governance impact, offering insights into voter mood ahead of upcoming elections. The results highlight the growing importance of leadership perception in shaping electoral dynamics.
