Bill Gates has praised the Government of Andhra Pradesh for using the latest technologies to improve governance and public services. During his interaction with State officials, he appreciated the efforts to make citizen services faster, simpler, and more transparent.
He especially welcomed the creation of a Data Lake system, which helps the government store and analyse large amounts of information to make better decisions. He also praised the use of WhatsApp Governance, which allows people to access government services easily through their mobile phones.
Mr. Gates said these digital steps are helping in the smooth delivery of welfare schemes and other public services. He called the work being done for the development of the State’s new capital city “great work” and appreciated the focus on modern planning and technology.
The visit highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to adopt innovation and digital tools for better administration and improved services for citizens.
