A new coastal corridor is likely to connect Visakhapatnam and Bhogapuram, helping them grow as ‘twin cities’. The proposed road project aims to improve traffic flow and support future development in the region.
The plan includes a 1-kilometre elevated flyover near Rushikonda. This flyover is designed to protect existing resorts and hotels while allowing smooth movement of vehicles. In addition, four elevated corridors are proposed to help drivers avoid traffic jams in busy areas such as Aganampudi and Kommadi.
Officials said the new corridor will reduce travel time and make transportation easier for residents and tourists. It is also expected to support the development of Bhogapuram, especially with the upcoming airport project.
Local authorities believe the project will boost business, tourism, and real estate, helping both cities grow together in the coming years.
