The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded an investigation into alleged “fake” house site pattas issued during the rule of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) between 2019 and 2024.
BJP leaders claimed that lakhs of poor families were given ownership documents for house sites but did not receive actual physical possession of the land. They alleged that many beneficiaries were shown as landowners on paper, while the land was either unavailable or not properly allotted.
The party has called for a special investigation to examine the issue in detail. BJP leaders said that if any irregularities or fraud are found, strict criminal action should be taken against those responsible.
They also urged the government to ensure that genuine beneficiaries receive proper house sites without delay. The BJP said transparency and fairness are important in welfare schemes meant for poor families and demanded that the truth be brought out soon.
