Assistant Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar suffered a gunshot injury in his stomach. Local people rushed to help, and police took him to a nearby private hospital. Doctors said his condition remains serious.
Two men arrived on a motorcycle and suddenly started firing. After the attack, they tried to escape from the spot. Police teams quickly chased them and surrounded the area.
During the chase, officers exchanged fire with the suspects. Police caught one accused after he got injured in the encounter. Officials have started an investigation to find the motive behind the attack.
