Leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a protest in Visakhapatnam, accusing the Indian National Congress of trying to disrupt the Global AI Summit.
The protest was held after Congress leaders reportedly raised objections and created disturbances during the international event. BJP and TDP leaders said the summit was an important programme that aimed to attract global investments and promote the State as a technology hub. They alleged that the Congress party’s actions could send a wrong message to investors and harm the State’s image.
During the protest, party leaders demanded that Congress act responsibly and support development activities instead of creating obstacles. They said the AI Summit was meant to encourage innovation, create jobs, and promote growth in the technology sector.
Police were present at the protest site to maintain law and order.
