In Bihar politics, Owaisi party not ready for Hena Shahab as a Rajya Sabha candidate. The Owaisi party not ready for Hena Shahab has clearly stated that AIMIM wants its own representative in the Upper House instead of backing her name.
Hena Shahab, wife of late former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, was suggested by some RJD leaders for the Rajya Sabha seat. RJD leader Bhai Virendra reportedly supported her candidature and said it could strengthen opposition unity.
However, AIMIM’s Bihar president Akhtarul Iman said the party expects proper representation in the Rajya Sabha elections. He urged the RJD-led alliance to support an AIMIM nominee instead.
Bihar will see elections for multiple Rajya Sabha seats soon. Political parties are now finalising their strategies and candidates.
This disagreement has created fresh political discussions within the opposition alliance ahead of the polls.
