In a major NEET student dead case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned the operator and two wardens of Shambu Girls Hostel in Patna on Monday. The NEET student dead case has raised serious concerns about hostel safety and supervision. The CBI team reached the hostel in the afternoon and spoke to the staff for more than three hours.
Officials asked detailed questions about what happened on January 5 and 6. They wanted to know who first saw the student, who informed the family, and what steps the hostel staff took afterward. The team also checked visitor records and asked whether the student met anyone after returning from her home in Jehanabad.
The 17-year-old NEET aspirant was found unconscious in her room and later died at a private hospital. Her family has alleged foul play. The CBI has now taken charge of the investigation and is examining all evidence.
