Rajya Sabha Elections: Manjhi Says He Will Wait for Leadership Decision

Jitan Ram Manjhi speaks on Rajya Sabha elections and leadership decision

Patna: Jitan Ram Manjhi has spoken on the Rajya Sabha elections and said his party will wait for the final decision from the NDA leadership. Manjhi said his group was promised two Lok Sabha seats and one Rajya Sabha elections seat as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He added that he expects the leadership to honour that promise.

Manjhi, who leads the Hindustani Awam Morcha, told reporters that he is not making any fresh demand. He said his party will wait patiently for the leadership’s decision on the Bihar Rajya Sabha seat.

Elections are being held for 37 Rajya Sabha seats across the country, including five from Bihar. Out of these, three seats are currently with the NDA and two with the opposition alliance.

Manjhi said his party already secured one Lok Sabha seat in the alliance arrangement. He stressed that partners should respect earlier commitments. The final list of candidates is expected after the top leadership announces its decision.
