The Patna Ring Road six lane project has moved forward after NHAI opened a tender for the Sherpur–Kanhauli stretch. The Patna Ring Road six lane corridor will form an important part of the proposed ring road that aims to reduce traffic pressure in and around the city.
This stretch will cover around 9 kilometers and connect key areas across Patna, Saran, and Vaishali districts. Officials plan to select a construction agency soon so work can begin without delay.
The state and central governments will share the project cost. Authorities have already started issuing land acquisition and compensation notices to affected landowners.
Once completed, the road will divert heavy vehicles away from the city center. It will also improve connectivity to nearby highways and bridges, making travel smoother and faster for daily commuters.
