Mission Seemanchal: Amit Shah Starts 3-Day Border Review in Bihar

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Mission Seemanchal with his visit to Purnia in Bihar on Wednesday. Under Mission Seemanchal, he began a three-day review focused on security and development along the Bangladesh and Nepal borders. Senior NDA leaders welcomed him at the airport before he moved to Kishanganj for key meetings.

Shah held discussions with security officials on border management, infiltration concerns, and surveillance systems. He stressed the need for stronger coordination between central and state agencies.

During the visit, he will inspect a border outpost in Araria and review ground-level arrangements. He will also meet senior state officials to assess law and order in the region.

The tour includes a review of development schemes in border villages. Officials expect important decisions to strengthen both security and infrastructure in Seemanchal.
