His presence sparked strong discussion inside the Janata Dal (United). Several party leaders openly said they want Nishant to join politics and take responsibility in the party. They believe he can strengthen the organisation in the coming years.
JDU executive president Sanjay Jha said party workers have expressed their wish to see Nishant in an active role. However, he added that the final decision will depend on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Earlier in the day, Nishant visited Mahavir Temple in Patna and later greeted his father at the official residence. Some leaders also discussed the possibility of sending him to the Rajya Sabha. The party has not made any official announcement yet.
