Officials confirmed that 4 lakh students cannot get Mukhyamantri Cycle Yojana because many government schools did not correct errors on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal before the deadline.
The Education Department had asked schools to fix mistakes such as wrong names, incorrect Aadhaar details, and missing parent information by February 28. However, several schools ignored the instructions.
More than 2.5 lakh students from the 2025-26 session and over 2 lakh from the 2024-25 session still have faulty records. Because of these errors, students may also lose uniforms, scholarships, and other financial support.
Senior officials have directed district education officers to review the situation and submit reports quickly. Authorities may take action against schools that failed to update the data on time.
