A PMCH junior doctors FIR has been filed after a violent incident at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Bihar’s largest government hospital. Police registered a case on March 4 against 35 unknown junior doctors following allegations that they chased and beat relatives of patients and took mobile phones during the incident. The case came to light after Bihar minister Sanjay Singh intervened and asked police to take strict action. He directed officers to check CCTV footage, identify those involved, and conduct raids to arrest the accused.
According to the victims, they had come to PMCH after a train-related injury. When they requested a written note for an external CT scan, an argument reportedly broke out. The situation escalated, and some relatives were allegedly assaulted.
Police have started an investigation and are working to identify and arrest those responsible.
