Bihar Revenue Officers Resignation – five CO and RO officers resign during Bihar revenue department strike

Patna: The Bihar Revenue Officers Resignation issue has drawn attention after the state’s Revenue and Land Reforms Department accepted the resignations of five Bihar Revenue Service officers during the ongoing strike. Three women and two male officers are among those who stepped down from their positions.

Officials said the Bihar Revenue Officers Resignation approvals were based on recommendations submitted by district magistrates. The department confirmed the decision through an official order issued on Tuesday.

The officers whose resignations were accepted include Anshu Kumar, Rajan Kumar, Shivangi Pandey, Ankita Verma, and Smriti Kumari. Their resignations took effect from the dates mentioned in their applications submitted between 2024 and 2025.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha urged the striking officers to return to work. The state government also stressed the importance of completing the ongoing land survey project by December 2027 to improve transparency in land records and reduce disputes.
