A tragic accident shocked residents after two brothers killed by train in Bhabua on Tuesday morning in Bihar’s Kaimur district. The incident took place near Barej village in the Mohania police station area. The two brothers killed by train in Bhabua were crossing a railway track when a freight train struck them.
The victims were identified as Prince Kumar (24) and Rohit Kumar (22), sons of Madan Shah. They had left home early in the morning to harvest mustard crops in their field located across the railway line. To reach the farmland, they had to cross the DDU–Gaya rail section and the Dedicated Freight Corridor track.
While crossing the DFCCL track, a speeding goods train hit them. Both brothers died on the spot, leaving the family and villagers in deep shock.
Local residents quickly informed the police. Officers reached the site, completed formal procedures, and sent the bodies to Bhabua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Villagers say several accidents have occurred on this freight corridor since high-speed goods trains began operating. Many people remain unaware of the danger while crossing the track.
