The Bihar Rajya Sabha 5th seat has become the most interesting contest in the state’s Rajya Sabha election. RJD leader AD Singh and BJP leader Shivesh Ram are fighting for this crucial seat.
Bihar is electing five members to the Rajya Sabha this time. Four seats look almost certain for major alliances. But the Bihar Rajya Sabha 5th seat has created a close political fight.
The NDA alliance has nominated Shivesh Ram for this seat. The opposition alliance has fielded AD Singh, who is currently a Rajya Sabha MP.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha is almost certain to win his seat with NDA support.
In Bihar, a candidate needs around 41 MLA votes to win a Rajya Sabha seat. The number may change if some MLAs stay absent during voting.
Party leaders have asked their MLAs to vote carefully. The final result may depend on cross-voting or support from smaller parties.
