In the NEET student dead case, a special POCSO court in Patna rejected the bail plea of hostel owner Manish Ranjan. The decision came after detailed hearings, where the court reviewed arguments from both sides.
The NEET student dead case involves serious allegations linked to the death of a minor student who stayed at Ranjan’s hostel. The court noted that the investigation is still ongoing and said granting bail at this stage could affect the probe.
The judge also highlighted the seriousness of the accusations, which include charges under the POCSO Act. Officials said investigators are still examining key evidence, including witness statements and forensic reports.
Ranjan remains in judicial custody at Beur Jail. The court said he can apply for bail again later if circumstances change.
Meanwhile, the CBI continues its investigation to find out the exact cause of the student’s death and complete pending inquiries.
