JP Ganga Path Extension: Digha to Koilwar in Just 30 Minutes

The JP Ganga Path Extension has started, bringing big relief for commuters in Bihar. The JP Ganga Path Extension will connect Digha to Koilwar with a new four-lane road, cutting travel time to just 30 minutes.

The project will cover about 36 km and link Digha JP Setu to the new Koilwar bridge via Sherpur and Bihta. Right now, people take up to two hours due to heavy traffic on existing routes.

Officials said the road will ease congestion in Patna and provide a smooth route for vehicles heading to Ara and Buxar. The project will cost around ₹6,500 crore and include elevated as well as ground-level sections.

Once completed, the road will improve connectivity to Saran and Vaishali. It will also link with the upcoming Sherpur–Dighwara bridge, boosting regional transport and economic growth.
