Several financial rules will change from April 1 as the new financial year begins. One major update is that ATM transaction and FASTag become costly from April 1, affecting bank customers and highway users across India.
Banks have revised ATM usage rules and charges. Customers will still receive a limited number of free transactions each month. However, once the free limit ends, banks will charge around ₹23 per transaction plus taxes. Some banks have also reduced daily withdrawal limits for certain debit cards.
Another change is related to FASTag. The annual FASTag pass fee will increase from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 for the financial year 2026–27. This new price will apply from April 1.
Overall, these updates mean ATM transaction and FASTag become costly from April 1, so customers should track their ATM usage and plan travel expenses accordingly.
