A shocking crime has come to light in Bihar after a wife reached Purnea Central Jail after killing husband and demanded that officials lock her inside. The unusual incident happened in Kasba town of Purnea district and has stunned local residents.
According to police, the wife reached Purnea Central Jail after killing husband late at night following a fight at home. The accused woman, identified as Sunita Devi, allegedly attacked her husband Umesh Singh with a sharp farming tool during a heated argument after they returned from a religious gathering.
Police said Umesh Singh died on the spot due to severe injuries. After the murder, the woman reportedly packed the body in a sack and dumped it near a bridge about 30 kilometers away in the Amour police station area.
The next day, Sunita Devi went directly to Purnea Central Jail and asked officials to put her behind bars. Jail authorities immediately informed the police, who later arrested her.
Investigators have started a detailed probe to find out whether anyone helped her dispose of the body.
