A shocking incident came to light after nephews gun down uncle in Rohtas district of Bihar on Wednesday morning. The killing happened in Paduri village under the Nasriganj police station area at around 9 am. The nephews gun down uncle in Rohtas reportedly due to an ongoing property dispute in the family.
The victim, 55-year-old Baijnath Singh, had stepped out with his son Satish Singh for tea near the village road. At that moment, a black SUV stopped near them. Two men stepped out and confronted Singh. Soon after a brief argument, they fired at him from close range.
The accused were identified as his nephews, Gopal Rai and Ranjit Mauar. Singh suffered serious injuries and locals rushed him to a nearby primary health center. Doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police reached the scene soon after receiving the information and sent the body for post-mortem at Sasaram hospital. Officers said the murder likely happened because of a long-running land dispute between Singh and his nephews.
An investigation is underway and police teams are searching for the accused.
