Kishanganj SDPO Gautam Kumar lost his post after a raid by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU). The raid found assets worth crores. Officials say the wealth does not match his known income.
Investigators carried out searches at several places linked to Kishanganj SDPO Gautam Kumar. The teams searched houses in Kishanganj, Purnea, Patna, and Siliguri. Officers found property papers, cash, and other records during the raids.
Officials also searched the house of a woman believed to be his girlfriend in Purnea. They recovered jewellery worth about ₹60 lakh and documents related to land deals.
The probe suggests the officer bought many properties. Some were registered in the names of family members and the woman.
Authorities also found details of luxury vehicles and investments. The police department has started a detailed investigation. More action may follow as the case moves forward.
