Patna Airport live cartridges recovered from passenger bag during security check

A security scare broke out at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna after Patna Airport live cartridges were found in a passenger’s bag during routine security screening. The incident happened when the passenger was preparing to board a flight to Delhi.

Security staff noticed suspicious objects on the X-ray scanner during baggage checking. After a manual inspection, officers recovered three live cartridges from the bag. The Patna Airport live cartridges discovery created brief tension inside the airport terminal.

CISF personnel immediately detained the passenger and informed the airport police. Officials later identified the man as a resident of Phulwari Sharif in Patna.

During questioning, the passenger told police that he was travelling to Delhi to visit his seriously ill brother. However, he failed to show any valid license for the ammunition.

Police registered a case under the Arms Act and started an investigation. Officers are now trying to find out how the cartridges reached his bag and whether there was any criminal intent.
