Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviewed fertilizer supply, horticulture crops, and marketing at his Undavalli camp office. Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu, Chief Secretary Vijay Anand, and senior officials attended the meeting. The CM directed strict action to stop fertilizers from entering the black market.
Officials said Andhra Pradesh received more than two lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers this season. The CM asked them to calculate crop-based requirements and actual usage. He urged continuous monitoring of supply, distribution, and usage to ensure farmers receive timely access.
Naidu suggested subsidies for farmers who reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, promoting sustainable practices. He asked officials to guarantee that horticulture crops get support prices matching cultivation costs, thereby protecting farmer incomes.
The CM also ordered quick action against new pest attacks in coffee plantations. After this session, he planned to review CRDA issues, including construction permits and Amaravati capital development.
