The Kishanganj SDPO disproportionate assets case has taken a new turn as police officer Gautam Kumar is expected to appear before the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) for questioning. Investigators are examining his alleged illegal properties and financial investments.
Officials say the Kishanganj SDPO disproportionate assets case involves several suspected benami properties and investments. The EOU has formed three teams to verify property records and financial transactions linked to the officer. The teams are working in multiple districts to collect evidence.
One team has been camping in Kishanganj and Purnia for several days. It is verifying information about land, assets, and financial links connected to the officer. Another team is checking properties in Araria, Munger, and Patna. A third team may soon travel to Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram to examine more suspected assets.
Investigators also found possible links between the officer and several influential individuals and suspected mafia groups. Authorities are reviewing call records and financial connections as part of the ongoing probe.
If the allegations are confirmed, officials may take strict legal action against the officer under corruption laws.
