Farmers Training Halted in 22 Districts of Bihar After Department Recalls Funds

Farmers Training Halted in 22 Districts of Bihar due to agriculture department action

Farmers Training Halted in 22 Districts of Bihar after the agriculture department found serious negligence in implementing a government skill program. The issue has affected farmers and unemployed youth who were supposed to receive agricultural training under a state scheme.

Officials said Farmers Training Halted in 22 Districts of Bihar because institutions linked with Bihar Agricultural University failed to run the training programs on time. The government had planned to train farmers and young people in modern agricultural activities. These included beekeeping, mushroom farming, makhana cultivation, nursery management, vermicomposting, and soil testing.

The training program was part of the state’s development initiative aimed at promoting self-employment in rural areas. However, the delay forced the agriculture department to take strict action. Authorities have now asked the university to return the funds that were allocated for the training.

Officials believe the delay has slowed opportunities for farmers and youth who wanted to start agriculture-based businesses. The department is preparing a list of institutions responsible for the lapse.
