Corrupt DSP Gautam has been suspended by the Bihar government after investigators uncovered massive wealth linked to him. Officials began the probe after receiving complaints about assets far beyond his known income. During questioning in Patna, officers examined documents and financial records connected to the case. Corrupt DSP Gautam worked as a senior police officer in Kishanganj and held an influential position in the department.
Investigators say he allegedly bought land, houses and luxury vehicles using the names of close relatives and associates. Several properties reportedly appear under the names of his wife and mother-in-law.
The investigation also revealed surprising links to assets connected with his alleged girlfriend and even a domestic maid. Authorities believe these properties may have been used to hide illegal wealth.
Officials have also traced properties in Bihar, West Bengal and Nepal. The Economic Offences Unit continues to examine documents as the corruption investigation moves forward.
