Bihar Domicile Policy: Only Biharis Eligible for Pilot Course Admission

Bihar domicile policy for pilot course admission at Bihar Aviation Institute

The Bihar domicile policy for pilot course has been implemented by the government led by Nitish Kumar. Under this rule, only permanent residents of Bihar can apply for the Private Pilot License (PPL) training program. The decision aims to give local youth better opportunities in aviation training.

The Bihar domicile policy for pilot course applies to admissions at the Bihar Aviation Institute. The institute has invited applications for the 2026 batch of the Private Pilot License program. A total of 40 seats are available this year for aspiring pilots.

Interested candidates must apply offline and send their applications through registered or speed post before April 28. The institute charges around ₹5,000 per hour for flight training during the course.

To apply, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics. Applicants must be between 18 and 60 years old and must submit a valid Bihar domicile certificate. Reserved category candidates must also provide caste and income certificates if required.

The reservation policy will also apply to the 40 seats. It includes quotas for SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, women, and general category candidates.
