Sub-Inspector pistol firing case in Bihar where wife died after gunshot from husband’s service pistol

A shocking Sub-Inspector pistol firing case has surfaced in Bihar’s Munger district, where a woman died after being shot with her husband’s service pistol. The victim, 29-year-old Madhu Kumari, lived with her husband, Sub-Inspector Chandan Kumar, in a rented house in Jamalpur.

According to police, the Sub-Inspector pistol firing case happened on Saturday evening around 6:30 pm. Neighbours heard a gunshot from the house and rushed inside. They found Madhu lying on the floor with a serious chest injury. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The husband told police that he was in the bathroom when his wife allegedly shot herself using his service pistol. However, the woman’s father rejected the suicide claim. He accused his son-in-law of murder and alleged that the officer had an illicit relationship with another woman police officer.

Police have arrested the sub-inspector and started a detailed investigation. Forensic experts inspected the scene, and officers seized the service pistol and the suspect’s mobile phone. Authorities said they will examine every angle, including dowry harassment and relationship disputes.
