The Liquor Ban in Bihar debate has started again after JDU MLA Anant Singh asked the state leadership to review the policy. The Mokama MLA said he will discuss the Liquor Ban in Bihar with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary soon.
Singh spoke to reporters outside the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He said the ban has created new problems in the state. According to him, many people now use other illegal drugs.
He believes controlled liquor sales could reduce illegal drug use. Singh said the government should study the issue and take a practical decision.
Singh also congratulated Samrat Choudhary for becoming the NDA leader in Bihar. However, he said former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will still guide the state.
The NDA recently chose Choudhary as its legislative leader. The new government formation process is now moving forward.
