A tragic Vande Bharat Express accident occurred in Bihar’s Jehanabad district, where a retired government employee lost his life after being hit by the high-speed train. The Vande Bharat Express accident happened on Thursday afternoon near Jehanabad Court Halt when the man tried to cross the railway tracks.
The victim was identified as Narendra Giri, a retired employee from the block office. He lived near Jehanabad Court with his wife after retirement. According to eyewitnesses, he attempted to cross the tracks when a Vande Bharat Express approached at high speed. At the same time, another passenger train was coming from the opposite direction, which created confusion on the track.
The fast-moving train struck him, causing his death on the spot. The impact was so strong that parts of the body fell beneath a nearby bridge onto the road below.
Police reached the scene after receiving information and started an investigation. The body was sent to the sadar hospital for post-mortem, and later the family members identified it.
