Harsh Firing in Tilak Ceremony in Nalanda kills groom’s friend during celebration

A shocking case of Harsh Firing in Tilak Ceremony came to light in Bihar’s Nalanda district, where a young man died after being hit by a bullet during a celebration. The incident happened in Amawa village under Bind police station while a tilak ceremony for a wedding was taking place.

During the event, bar dancers were performing on a rooftop while guests celebrated the occasion. In the middle of the program, some people started firing guns in the air as part of the celebration. Amid the chaos, a bullet struck a 21-year-old man who had come to attend his friend’s ceremony.

The victim, identified as Chhotu Kumar from Gausnagar village in the Sarmera area, collapsed on the spot after being hit. Family members rushed him to Sadar Hospital in Bihar Sharif, but doctors declared him dead when he arrived.

Ironically, the victim’s own tilak ceremony was scheduled for the same day, and his wedding was planned for April 27. Police have started an investigation into the Harsh Firing in Tilak Ceremony and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Officials said they will take action after completing the inquiry.
