Women Reservation Bill Protest: CM Samrat Choudhary Accuses Opposition of Promoting Family Politics

Women Reservation Bill Protest led by Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary in Patna

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary strongly criticised opposition parties during a Women Reservation Bill Protest, claiming they do not truly support women’s political empowerment. Speaking at a protest gathering in Patna, he said the opposition blocked the bill because they want to send their own family members to Parliament instead of encouraging ordinary women leaders.

During the Women Reservation Bill Protest, Choudhary accused parties like Indian National Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal of misleading the public on women’s representation. He said the proposed legislation aimed to reserve one-third of seats for women in Parliament and state assemblies to strengthen women’s participation in politics.

The Chief Minister also claimed the opposition fears that empowered women leaders could challenge their traditional political control. According to him, blocking the bill exposes what he called an “anti-women mindset.”

Choudhary said his party will continue raising the issue and mobilising public support to ensure greater political opportunities for women in the future.
