A Gaya Airport Fire caused panic on Monday afternoon after flames suddenly broke out inside the airport premises in Bihar. The Gaya Airport Fire started in dry bushes and quickly spread across nearly 200 meters, creating smoke and confusion near the airport area.
Security staff noticed the flames and immediately alerted the control room. At the time of the incident, a Myanmar Airways flight was parked in the airport parking area. Officials became extra cautious to ensure the safety of the aircraft and passengers.
Firefighters rushed to the spot after the alert. Seven fire engines worked for nearly two hours to bring the blaze under control. Strong winds made the operation difficult, but teams finally managed to stop the fire from spreading further.
Reports suggest the fire may have started outside the airport after villagers burned vegetation. Sparks and flames reached the airport boundary and ignited dry bushes inside the premises.
Officials confirmed that no casualties or property damage occurred in the incident.
