A shocking Muzaffarpur loot shooting left a family injured after armed criminals opened fire during a robbery in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. The incident happened on Monday afternoon in the Sakra police station area when the victims were travelling on a bike.
During the Muzaffarpur loot shooting, two bike-borne miscreants chased the family and stopped them at a deserted spot near Repura Chowk. The attackers threatened the couple with a pistol and demanded their jewellery. When the husband and wife resisted, the criminals opened fire.
The woman, identified as Shweta Kumari (26), suffered a bullet injury to her head. Her husband Sohan Singh (27) was shot in the thigh while trying to stop the robbers. Their three-year-old son Priyansh narrowly escaped after a bullet grazed his head.
After the shooting, the criminals snatched gold jewellery worth about ₹7 lakh and fled toward the highway. Locals rushed the injured family to a hospital, where the woman’s condition remains critical. Police have started an investigation and are checking nearby CCTV cameras to identify the attackers.
