A Supaul gas cylinder explosion caused massive destruction late Monday night in Bihar. The blast took place in Balwa Rehabilitation Ward-1 of Supaul district and triggered a fierce fire that destroyed three houses. Residents said the Supaul gas cylinder explosion happened while most people were asleep, creating panic in the area.
The incident reportedly started at the house of Sunil Pandit. Flames rose from the house before the LPG cylinder exploded with a loud blast. The force of the explosion threw a part of the cylinder into a nearby house, which further spread the fire.
Within minutes, the fire engulfed the homes of Sunil Pandit, Kapil Pandit, and another neighbour. Household items, clothes, grains, documents, and cash burned in the flames. Officials estimate the loss of property to be more than ₹3 lakh.
Firefighters later reached the spot and controlled the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported. Local officials visited the site and assured the affected families that they would receive government assistance after damage assessment.
