The Bhagalpur EO murder has triggered a political storm in Bihar. After the shocking killing of a government officer inside a municipal office, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary over law and order in the state.
The Bhagalpur EO murder took place in Sultanganj when armed criminals entered the Nagar Parishad office and opened fire. Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar died in the attack, while chairman Rajkumar Guddu suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The incident created panic among staff and local residents.
Tejashwi Yadav reacted on social media and blamed the BJP leadership for the worsening crime situation. He referred to a controversial election slogan and claimed it encouraged violence. He also accused the government of failing to control crime in Bihar.
Police have identified suspects through CCTV footage and started raids to catch the attackers. Officials said the investigation is ongoing and teams are searching for the remaining accused.
