Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojna: Engineers Warned of Compulsory Retirement

Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojna review meeting warning engineers of compulsory retirement

The Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojna in Bihar has come under strict monitoring after the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) warned engineers about negligence. During a review meeting, PHED Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal said engineers who fail to implement the Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojna properly may face compulsory retirement.

The secretary reviewed the progress of the water supply scheme in the Munger, Lakhisarai, and Jamui divisions. He asked officials to speed up pending projects and ensure smooth drinking water supply to households. The department also directed engineers to fix pipeline leaks and damaged systems quickly.

During the meeting, officials found that some assistant engineers had not visited project sites for inspection. The secretary expressed strong displeasure and ordered strict action against such officers.

He instructed executive engineers to conduct regular field visits and monitor the ground situation closely. The department said it will not tolerate negligence and will take tough action if officials fail to perform their duties.
