A nationwide rains and hailstorm warning has brought hope for relief as several parts of India prepare for thunderstorms and showers in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said changing weather systems may reduce the intense heat affecting many states.
According to IMD forecasts, the nationwide rains and hailstorm warning covers several northern, central, and eastern regions. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 40–60 kmph are likely in many areas. Some places may also experience hailstorms and short spells of heavy rain.
Meteorologists say western disturbances and local weather patterns are driving the sudden change. These conditions may lower temperatures and provide temporary relief from the ongoing heatwave in many regions.
Weather officials advised people to stay cautious during thunderstorms. Farmers and travelers should follow regular weather updates, as strong winds, lightning, and heavy rain may disrupt normal activities in several states.
