Rangaswamy Re-elected as Puducherry Chief Minister taking oath after NDA election victory

Rangaswamy Re-elected as Puducherry Chief Minister after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a clear majority in the Puducherry Assembly elections. Veteran leader N. Rangaswamy will lead the Union Territory for another term.

The NDA alliance, led by the All India N.R. Congress, won enough seats in the 30-member assembly to form the government again. Rangaswamy was chosen as the leader of the NDA legislative group by alliance partners. All India N.R. Congress emerged as the largest party in the elections.

Rangaswamy also retained his seat in the Thattanchavady constituency, strengthening his position in the assembly. The alliance includes the Bharatiya Janata Party and other regional partners. Puducherry will see the swearing-in ceremony for the new government on May 13.

This victory marks Rangaswamy’s fifth term as Chief Minister, showing continued voter support for the NDA government in the Union Territory.
