Toyota New Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Maharashtra to Start Operations in 2029

Toyota new vehicle manufacturing plant in Maharashtra planned for 2029

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has announced plans to build a Toyota new vehicle manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. The company aims to strengthen its production network in India and meet the growing demand for vehicles. The Toyota new vehicle manufacturing plant in Maharashtra is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2029.

The upcoming facility will come up in the Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra. It will have an annual production capacity of about 100,000 vehicles. The plant will mainly produce a new SUV model and include stamping, welding, painting, and assembly operations.

The project will also create around 2,800 jobs when production begins. Officials say the factory will help the company respond quickly to future market demand and expand exports to nearby regions.

The new plant will further strengthen Toyota’s presence in India, where the company already runs manufacturing facilities in Karnataka through Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
