Currently, the Telangana government has around 11 advisors across several departments. However, only K. Keshava Rao and P. Sudarshan Reddy hold cabinet rank. Because of this status, they receive salaries and privileges equal to state ministers.
Other advisors say the system creates unfair differences. They believe the government should offer equal recognition and benefits for similar responsibilities.
Political observers have also raised questions about the rising number of advisors. They say too many advisory posts could affect administrative balance in the government.
