A Red Alert for Combined Adilabad District has been issued as heatwave conditions intensify in northern Telangana. Weather officials warned that temperatures may cross 45°C in several areas. The warning aims to alert people about the serious heat conditions expected in the coming days.
The Red Alert for Combined Adilabad District covers Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Nirmal districts. These areas may experience extremely high temperatures along with strong hot winds. Recently, Adilabad recorded temperatures above 43°C, and the heat is likely to increase further.
Weather experts say temperatures in north Telangana could remain 2–3°C higher than normal. Authorities have advised residents to avoid going outdoors during peak afternoon hours and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Officials also warned that children, elderly people, and outdoor workers face a higher risk of heat-related illnesses. Residents are urged to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day and take proper safety measures.
