Akiveedu Ramalayam Construction Dispute: Supreme Court Orders Status Quo on Temple Issue

Akiveedu Ramalayam construction dispute Supreme Court orders status quo on temple construction in Andhra Pradesh

The Akiveedu Ramalayam construction dispute has reached the Supreme Court. The court ordered status quo on the temple construction in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The Akiveedu Ramalayam construction dispute now faces a temporary halt.

The issue started over the reconstruction of a Ramalayam in Pedapeta village of Akiveedu mandal. Petitioners claimed the temple was being built on government land. They also questioned the permissions given for construction.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh High Court rejected petitions against the project. It said records showed a Ramalayam existed at the site for many years. Officials also approved the work after checking documents and reports.

The Supreme Court has now paused all construction work. It has ordered status quo until the case is heard fully.

The final decision will come after the next hearing. All parties are now waiting for the court’s ruling.
