Rajahmundry special court rejects Anantababu bail petition in a key driver murder case linked to alleged witness intimidation. The Rajahmundry special court rejects Anantababu bail petition after reviewing fresh evidence presented by the prosecution.
The court heard arguments related to violation of bail conditions and alleged attempts to influence key witnesses. Prosecutors told the court that the accused misused his freedom after getting conditional bail earlier. They claimed he threatened witnesses and tried to change their statements.
The judge observed that such actions could affect a fair trial and ordered cancellation of bail. Authorities said strong evidence supported the allegations of witness intimidation.
Police have taken the accused into custody and produced him before the court through a transit warrant. He will remain in judicial custody until the trial is completed. The hearing in the murder case is expected to begin later this month in Rajahmundry.
