Hyderabad witnessed an MGBS bus fire scare on Monday after flames suddenly broke out in a bus parked at the Gadwal platform inside the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS). The incident created panic among passengers waiting near the bus.
The MGBS bus fire scare began when smoke and flames appeared unexpectedly in a stationary bus. Passengers quickly got down from the vehicle and moved to safety. RTC staff present at the platform acted immediately and used water to stop the fire from spreading.
Officials said the quick response helped avoid a major accident. No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities are now checking the reason behind the fire.
Due to the intense summer heat, fire accidents have increased in several parts of the state in recent weeks. Traffic police and transport officials advised people to avoid travel during peak afternoon heat and remain alert while travelling.
